To kick off the month of August, the biggest names in the sneaker industry are dropping some real heat this week, including Nike‘s highly-anticipated Kyrie Irving and SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration.
Before we get to this week’s best releases however, let’s take a look back at the biggest footwear headlines from the past seven days.
This weekend alone caused an Internet frenzy when adidas surprise-dropped previously-released YEEZY kicks as part of its “YEEZY Day” event. Over a period of 14-hours, fans and sneakerheads alike who caught Ls vented their frustrations on social media. Additionally, Kerby Jean-Raymond landed an Artistic Director role at Reebok, achieving yet another milestone in the young designer’s career.
Elsewhere, Nike’s third Stranger Things pack surfaced, which includes the Tailwind 79 — first dropped via BAIT’s exclusive San Diego Comic-Con hunt — along with a Cortez and Blazer Mid.
