To kick off the month of August, the biggest names in the sneaker industry are dropping some real heat this week, including Nike‘s highly-anticipated Kyrie Irving and SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration.

Before we get to this week’s best releases however, let’s take a look back at the biggest footwear headlines from the past seven days.

This weekend alone caused an Internet frenzy when adidas surprise-dropped previously-released YEEZY kicks as part of its “YEEZY Day” event. Over a period of 14-hours, fans and sneakerheads alike who caught Ls vented their frustrations on social media. Additionally, Kerby Jean-Raymond landed an Artistic Director role at Reebok, achieving yet another milestone in the young designer’s career.

Elsewhere, Nike’s third Stranger Things pack surfaced, which includes the Tailwind 79 — first dropped via BAIT’s exclusive San Diego Comic-Con hunt — along with a Cortez and Blazer Mid.

In terms of first looks, G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 “Para?Noise” surfaced, along with PUMA’s upcoming One Piece collaboration. We were also given closer looks at A-COLD-WALL*’s latest Nike Zoom Vomero +5, the adidas YEEZY 500 “Bone White,” and the rare fragment design x Air Jordan 3 sample.

Finally, we also took a look at how Japanese brand Suicoke is making men’s sandals cool again.

Now with a new week ahead of us, we present the latest installment of our weekly footwear drops list, showcasing what’s to come from your favorite footwear brands. Take a look at the list below and let us know what releases you’re looking forward to.
