UPDATE (August 6, 2019): The Friends & Family KITH x Coca-Cola x Converse Chuck 70 is set to drop this week. Following a few teasers shared by KITH founder Ronnie Fieg himself, a release date for the highly-anticipated collaborative sneaker has now surfaced.

Interested fans will be able to purchase the KITH x Coca-Cola x Converse 70 when it hits KITH retailers and kith.com this Friday, August 9 at 11 a.m. EST for an expected retail price of $150 USD. The sneaker already released via KITH’s Hawaii pop-up on August 2.

The sneaker is just one part of a whole collection which will be comprised of co-branded polos, crewnecks and Coca-Cola bottles. Find the original story below.

UPDATE (July 29, 2019): After sharing a few teasers of his upcoming Coca-Cola collaboration, Ronnie Fieg has now given fans a look at the capsule’s forthcoming footwear options.

Originally seen two years ago as a Friends & Family edition, the KITH x Coca Cola x Converse Chuck 70 will now be getting a wider release when the full KITH x Coca-Cola collection drops. The collaborative sneaker has been given a light denim makeover, while white Coca-Cola branding has been embroidered throughout the upper and wraps around the heels. An all-white midsole and green outsole, complete with red KITH branding, finishes off the entire look of the Converse Chuck 70.

Keep it locked here for a release date on the collection.

Original Story (July 25, 2019): Ronnie Fieg and his favorite soft drink brand Coca-Cola are once again teaming up on a capsule collection.

Over the past few days, the KITH founder has been teasing the new joint effort via his Instagram account by posting old collaborative Coke bottles along with a photo of the words “Coca-Cola” and “KITH” spelt out on a sandy Hawaiian beach. Today Fieg shared a first look at what the forthcoming collection will look like.

In the two photos a colorblocked patchwork hoodie, crewneck and two polo-shirts — one long-sleeved, one short-sleeved — are showcased. Fieg even shared the inspiration behind the collection in his caption which reads, “In 2000, the State of Hawaii gave each island its own official color. That color matches the hue of the island’s official flower. We used those colors to create these patchwork pieces made of a summer weight cotton jersey. The Kith x Coca Cola 2019 collection is coming soon.”

Along with the release KITH will be holding a surf video competition where finalists will be invited to Oahu, Hawaii on Tuesday, July 30. Winners will be featured on KITH’s IG page and will be gifted limited Coke x KITH surfboards.

So far no official release date for the upcoming Coca-Cola x KITH collaboration has been announced, but keep it locked here for more details when they surface.

In related news, Coca-Cola is officially launching an alcoholic beverage business in Japan.

The Kith 2019 Hawaii Coke bottles ?

Everyone that knows me knows my obsession with Coca Cola. I have been collecting Coke products and books for over 20 years. When starting to work on hospitable moments in 2013, I was always interested in seeing where I would take the project if I had a chance to work with the brand. I was so happy when I got the call to work on the first project, I’ll never forget that feeling. I remember telling my team that I felt it was the first major milestone for Kith. All I kept thinking was who didn’t love Coca Cola? Who didn’t love the polar bear commercials in the 90’s? They used to play those spots in the theaters holiday time before Christmas and they literally made everyone smile. That was the inspiration behind the first collection and I wanted to release it in Aspen. After seeing the success of that trip and pop up space, the next two collections released in East Hampton and then last summer in Malibu. Some of the best times I have ever had since starting Kith in 2011. These moments are created out of the love for the product we produce and wanting to celebrate it’s release. This summer we celebrate in Hawaii. Can’t wait to show you. It’s the real thing.
