BAIT's 'Stranger Things' x Nike Air Tailwind 79 Is Loaded With Hidden Details
Including flammable uppers and hidden messages.

Following the much-anticipated initial Stranger Things x Nike rollouts, American retailer BAIT has dreamed up a one-off iteration of the pack’s Air Tailwind 79 silhouette. Exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, the classic runner sports a host of special details taken straight from the world of the Netflix hit.
Though it wasn’t the only SDCC special BAIT had in store, the one-off Air Tailwind 79 may be the most covetable, considering its extremely limited release and bevy of features. Notably, its textural grey upper can be burned away to reveal hidden logos and fabrics below, matching the black and red colors seen on the box. White insoles are emblazoned with machinery sketches doodled by Murray Bauman and the title of the first episode: “Suzie, Do You Copy?” Tucked underneath the insoles is a reprisal of the now infamous code cracked by Robin, Steve and Dustin in an early episode, appropriately executed in both Russian and English.
BAIT launched the shoes this weekend via a special scavenger hunt, with only a handful of winners able to score the limited edition kicks.
Elsewhere, Hasbro dropped a Stranger Things-themed Monopoly set.
