Nike has officially revealed the upcoming Air Force 1 Low “NYC Rat”. The new iteration offers a gritty, character-driven spin on the iconic basketball silhouette, drawing design cues from one of New York City‘s most famous urban residents.
Constructed with a dark gray leather upper, the sneaker incorporates brown faux fur paneling across the Swoosh logos, collar, and heel counter. Fuzzy laces accompany the set to match the textured upper, while dedicated “NYC” branding is placed directly on the tongue tag. Concealed within the faux fur on the heel lies a subtle red eye detail, adding a thematic reference to the rodent-inspired concept.
Underfoot, the design is completed by a black midsole stamped with brown “AIR” lettering, supported by a muted pink translucent outsole. Metallic lace dubraes at the forefoot round out the dark aesthetic. The release forms one half of a two-pair Air Force 1 capsule alongside an “MTA MetroCard” colorway.
