In the aftermath of another Drake album release, the month of October charges onward with a slate of fall releases across the fashion and footwear industry. Looking to the sneaker side of things, there’s plenty to look forward to with Nike, Jordan Brand, ASICS, New Balance, On and Under Armour all serving up notable drops. Let’s take a quick detour to review what headlines hit the shoe space in the past week before we outline the coming week’s best releases.

On the feature end, Sole Mates returned with legendary British skateboarder Geoff Rowley highlighting the Dime x Vans Skateboarding Rowley XLT while chatting about his relationship with the skate brand, his signature shoe’s reissue and more. From there, our final seasonal entry in best footwear trends at fashion week saw a recap of Paris’ offerings.

Looking ahead to future releases, plenty of reveals from Nike SB took place last week. The Nike SB Dunk Low “Fog” is now expected to restock while the “Mystic Red” colorway of the sneaker is set to launch. We’re still awaiting a firm arrival date for the SB Dunk High “Candy Corn” which the Swoosh officially unveiled while an early preview of 2024’s SB Dunk Low “Valentine’s Day” also popped up. For Jordan Brand, early previews of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Dragon,” Air Jordan 3 “Midnight Navy” and an all-pink Jordan Zion 3 all surfaced.

As for the rest of the industry, sneak peeks at Scoot Henderson’s first signature shoe with PUMA, Action Bronson’s take on the New Balance 1906R and another Fear of God x adidas sneaker all took center stage. Wrapping things up, G-SHOCK and Converse Japan presented their all-black All Star while Crocs unveiled a Cowboy Boot.

With all of the top headlines recapped, let’s get into what to look forward to across the next seven days. Afterwards, don’t forget to hit up HBX to check out what sneakers can be purchased now.

Nike Air Footscape Woven “Black and Smoke Grey”

Release Date: October 10
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: The woven wave surges on in the sneaker world as following Union LA and Bephies Beauty Supply’s collaborative looks on the Air Jordan 1, the Air Footscape Woven continues to make appearances. Following last week’s cow print-adorned pair, the Swoosh is back with another horsehair leather upper that sees a slick black combine with “Smoke Grey” notes at its woven pattern and rubber outsole.

AURALEE x New Balance 1906R

Release Date: October 11
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: Sneakerheads have waited all year for AURALEE to launch its two takes on the New Balance 1906R. Revealed during the Japanese label’s FW23 show in January, these tonal renditions sport mesh and suede at their uppers. A soft blue “Flint Stone” is equipped on the first look while the latter favors a “Bone White” finish. Absent of any co-branding, save for the quiet note at the sockliner, the duo lets the shoe speak for itself.

LOEWE x On Cloudtilt

Release Date: October 12
Release Price: $490 USD
Where to Buy: On
Why You Should Cop: At this point, LOEWE is wondering if it can get much higher. The Spanish luxury house has skyrocketed into becoming the world’s hottest brand this year thanks to Jonathan Anderson’s continued excellence. Now, it looks to On to expand on its partnership by introducing a new silhouette — the Cloudtilt. Seven tonal colorways have been prepared in men’s and women’s sizing, combining the technology of On and the design language of LOEWE.

MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01

Release Date: October 12
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: MSFTSrep
Why You Should Cop: Taking the stage with his younger sister WILLOW at Coachella this year, Jaden Smith’s guest appearance caught eyes from his fans and sneakerheads alike as he debuted a previously-unseen New Balance silhouette. Revealed as a collaboration between his MSFTSrep label and New Balance, the two recently revealed the New Balance 0.01 officially. Co-branding hits are scattered throughout the court shoe as its sole unit sees the midsole broken up into parts at each side of the sneaker.

Above the Clouds x ASICS GT-2160

Release Date: October 13
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: ASICS
Why You Should Cop: Australia-based retailer Above the Clouds has gone back and forth with ASICS in recent years, outfitting everything from the SKYCOURT to now the GT-2160. Utilizing the silhouette from 2011, silver and green share space across the mixed material build. Notably, the upper utilizes a translucent TPE at the midfoot and toe box while the sole unit combines off-white, green and blue hits.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf

Release Date: October 13
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: Select Golf Stores
Why You Should Cop: Travis Scott has an arsenal of upcoming collaborations with both Nike and Jordan Brand prepared. However, before entering the next chapter of his partnership with the Swoosh, he has another Air Jordan 1 Low on the way — with a twist this time. La Flame, while not known as an avid golfer, has prepared a golf version of the Air Jordan 1 Low with his signature reverse Swoosh and Cactus Jack branding dressed in off-white and olive hues.

Under Armour Curry 11 “Future Curry”

Release Date: October 13
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: Under Armour
Why You Should Cop: Building upon the success of the Under Armour Curry 10, Stephen Curry and the American sportswear brand are ready to launch their latest shoe — the Curry 11. The court-ready sneaker features a half-bootie design that sees signature Warp technology employed to mold to each user’s foot. Debuting in the “Future Curry” colorway, black and white cover a majority of the shoe with a bright blue accenting the look at the lacing system and midfoot.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG “University Red”

Release Date: October 13
Release Price: $140 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: There’s something about that original Air Jordan 1 Low shape that continues to see the OG favored over the common modern look of the sneaker. Adorned with classic Nike Air branding at the tongue as well, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG returns with its signature retro flow taking on a “University Red” that lights up the leather Swooshes, heel tab, rubber outsole, lining and the aforementioned Nike Air notes. Elsewhere, a fresh white coats the remainder of the sneaker.

Nike LeBron 21 “Purple Rain”

Release Date: October 14
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: With the NBA preseason under way, signature shoes are finally hitting shelves one after another. Having debuted late last month, the Nike LeBron 21 now takes on the line’s typical Los Angeles Lakers-esque purple and gold. Leading up to the sneaker’s official unveiling, LeBron James took to social media to showcase this colorway, noting Prince as a point of inspiration for this “Purple Rain” look.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Mauve”

Release Date: October 14
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: In August, a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in its “Mauve” colorway surfaced. Leading Jordan Brand’s holiday 2023 retro collection lineup, the Swoosh finally fully revealed it this month and is now taking it to retail shelves. Utilizing a classic white leather base, its purple hue graces the leather overlays and Swooshes to craft a fresh look for the old-school sneaker.
