NANUK’s New Softpack Is Built To Protect Your Gear From the Elements

NANUK has rolled out its first-ever softpacks, beginning with the N-PVD 30L backpack. Building on the Canadian brand’s legacy of highly protective cases and bags, the sleek new backpack maintains that ethos without compromising aesthetics or comfort.
From the outside, the N-PVD simply appears as a shiny softpack that spans the length of most wearer’s full back. The exterior lining is made of recycled polyester and then coated with a special finish. Free from both PFOA and PFCs, the coating is environmentally friendly and ensures that the gear stays completely dry, even in a downpour. 9 aluminum hooks are located throughout the pack to allow for oversized attachments, such as a tripod, and to prevent its contents from being jostled around.
Opening up the pack, it’s almost surprising just how much room it offers for cameras, lenses, drones and other hardware. True to its name, the N-PVD can hold 30 liters (8 gallons) worth of equipment.
It comes with an internal divider system that splits the pack into three separate compartments, each of which is situated under stretchy elastic straps that tightly secure objects in place. For smaller items, pockets are located within the interior top flap, as well as on the bottom and sides of the pack.
NANUK bills the N-PVD as the perfect accompaniment for photographers and videographers capturing content in the outdoors, whether that’s in a rainy forest or among some sand dunes. Covers for the pack offer additional protection against the elements, depending on its user’s needs.
