Gunna Heads to Jamaica for New "WUNNA" Music Video
Following the premiere of the first part of his album documentary.
Fresh off of the announcement that his sophomore studio project WUNNA is slated to release this Friday, May 22, Atlanta superstar Gunna has returned with a new music video for the title track. The visual was directed by Spike Jordan and follows the first installment of the album’s documentary where Gunna and his crew ventured to Jamaica to record the LP.
“WUNNA” was produced by frequent collaborator Turbo with an addicting and all-consuming bass-line and an hypnotizing array of keys. While the rapper’s drip is as apparent as ever, he does manage to skip over that murky underwater sound that was such a signature feature of his Drip or Drown and Drip Season series. “WUNNA” is the second single of the project following his “SKYBOX” music video from early March.
Even with his current project on the horizon, Gunna has continued his prolific run of feature verses, most recently collaborating with Lil Durk, A.CHAL and another for close friend and frequent collaborator NAV. He also teamed up with Turbo and Young Thug for their coronavirus-inspired single “Quarantine Clean.” Part two of Gunna’s album documentary is slated to release later this week before the LP’s launch on Friday.
In more music updates, Brooklyn rapper Medhane dropped his new “I’m Deadass” music video and announced his new Cold Water full-length, set to release May 26.
