FILA Celebrates The Notorious B.I.G.'s Legacy With New Capsule
Two Tennis 88s and matching apparel, released just ahead of the late, great rapper’s birthday.

Ahead of the late, great The Notorious B.I.G.‘s birthday on May 21, FILA has teamed with the rapper’s Christopher Wallace Estate for a six-piece capsule collection. Made up of two takes on the Tennis 88 plus matching T-shirts and visors, each shoe pays homage to the iconic wordsmith’s history and Brooklyn hometown in a different fashion, all while saluting B.I.G’s seminal Ready to Die.
Tennis 88s arrive in two different colorways: a sporty leather white, teal and aqua blue inspired by a full FILA fit Biggie wore for a classic 1993 performance in Philadelphia, and a new suede cream, red and navy blue style that salutes the Tennis’s popularity in Brooklyn during Biggie’s heyday. The former features the Ready To Die logo on its insole, while the latter presents the iconic baby photo from the album’s cover. Each features a special crown graphic on the tongue for a nod to Ready to Die’s 25th anniversary (which occurred last September), and further Ready to Die spellouts on the heel. Both are packaged in a custom shoebox to complete the look. Matching t-shirts and visors are presents as well, with bold, colorful graphics that draw from ’90s style.
The FILA x The Notorious B.I.G. collection is available now via FILA’s webstore, with the Tennis 88s priced at $90 USD, and tees and visors at $25 USD. For each pair of shoes sold, FILA will donate a pair of children’s sneakers to the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
Elsewhere, Kanye West and adidas’s YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN “Black” will re-release in full family sizes this weekend.
