'Call Of Duty: Warzone' 1.21 Update Brings Access to Secret Bunkers, Weapon Changes, and More
‘Modern Warfare’ will also see several additions in the update.
The latest update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare is available now for players on all platforms. The file arrives at around 30 GB on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, although the size will be smaller if players only own Warzone.
There are a slew of new changes — the battle royale title will see a new Armor Box available to find as loot or purchase from Buy Stations, which will replenish an entire team’s armor similar to the munitions box. Most Wanted contracts have also returned while preserving the other three, and Gulag loadouts now include six different assault rifles and four SMGs along with pistols and shotguns.
The most controversial Warzone addition comes in the form of bunkers, which can now be opened with Access Cards found exclusively in Legendary chests. If players have the keycard and interact with the correct keypad outside the bunker doors, players will be able to enter and find plenty of loot crates filled with several high-level weapons, cash, killstreaks and field upgrades. Youtuber IceManIsaac revealed the bunker discovery on a recent game stream, seen above.

The 1.21 update also fixes a few known bugs, such as an exploit that allows players to access points outside the map and a rare bug in Warzone that traps players in the Gulag for the entire match. Weapons have also been rebalanced. The FAL and SCAR weapons now have decreased aim-down-sight times, while the Holfer 26’s recoil has been reduced. Lastly, the penalty for holding your breath for too long while using a sniper rifle has lessened.
Large updates also arrive for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which includes a new Gunfight map called Aisle 9 and a retro multiplayer map called Hardhat. Alongside the new maps comes a new 24/7 playlist for Hardhat and a Face Off Moshpit playlist for Aisle 9. Lastly, a new DLC pack, “Fearless,” is available for the Call of Duty Endowment charity as part of the #CODEFearlessChallenge, with all proceeds going towards helping veterans find “find high-quality jobs during this trying time.”
