A.CHAL Taps Gunna for Latest Single "Hollywood Love"
The Peruvian-born, New York City-raised singer has a new project on the way.
Peruvian-born New York City-raised artist A.CHAL continues to deliver new music throughout 2020 following the release of his single “Pink Dust” at the top of the year. The singer-songwriter returns with “Hollywood Love,” enlisting Atlanta rapper Gunna (who has some new music on the way as well).
“Oh, I don’t want your name or your number/ I don’t think you gon’ remember/ So many times we done this before, I/ Will never be the one that you switch up for/ Just go on with your ass, yeah/ You ain’t gotta change for me,” he sings over a haunting electric guitar backing. Production features include Frank Rio on the drums and Noel Zancanella on guitar.
The focal point of the track is readily apparent in the song’s title, with A.CHAL lamenting the stereotypical and disingenuous nature of a love life lived in the Hollywood Hills. Gunna assists with a verse about his 2019 Bentley truck, getting lost in substances and keeping tabs on the company he currently keeps. According to a press release, A.CHAL’s next full-length project is just around the corner, an album that “fuses together psychedelic soundscapes, R&B, Reggaeton, and Rock into a future-facing odyssey.”
