Gunna Hints at New Project on the Way With "Wunna" Teaser
55-seconds long and a YSL Instagram comment confirmation.
It’s been over a year since Gunna dropped his last solo project with the critically acclaimed, forever-played Drip or Drown 2, but it’s not like he took any time off: the frequent Twitter motto – there are three certainties in this life: death, taxes, and a feature from Gunna. The Atlanta rapper has been the very definition of prolific. Now he and YSL Records are hinting at the potential next solo offering with a cryptic 55-second video titled “Wunna,” shot on location in Montego Bay, Jamaica and directed by Spike Jordan. YSL Records commented on the video, writing “it’s time.”
Gunna’s features within the past 365 days include tracks with Lil Baby, the late Pop Smoke, Casanova, Koffee, Travis Scott and Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, and more. It totals somewhere close to 25 tracks which makes his 2019-2020 campaign even more impressive.
There’s no time table for “Wunna,” but the video could be on the way in the near future. Stylistically, it’s typical Gunna – multiple video vixens asleep in bed, a lavish penthouse apartment, money-counting and and a spacey, pensive beat sure to be the perfect basis for his auto-tuned melodies. Watch the full teaser above and in more music news, Gunna’s friend and frequent collaborator Lil Baby recently dropped his new Lil Wayne-assisted “Forever” music video after his own Gunna collaboration in “Heatin Up.”
