Lil Baby and Gunna's "Heatin Up" Video Shows How Far They've Come
Another stand-out collaboration from the ‘Drip Harder’ duo.
Lil Baby and Gunna‘s chemistry is undeniable. The Atlanta rap duo’s 2018 collaborative project Drip Harder was so influential that year that Young Thug and Future confirmed the upcoming Super Slimey 2 will now consist of all four superstars. After debuting his sophomore My Turn to round out February, Lil Baby has tapped Gunna for the new “Heatin Up” music video full of house parties, luxury sports cars, and pit bulls.
Director Jon J. focuses on the contrast between public housing and an array of head-turning Lamborghinis, between the dimply lit apartment living rooms and neon blue tint of Allure night club. My Turn follows Lil Baby’s 2018 solo album in Street Gossip, an effort that helped put him on the map outside of his native Atlanta with collaborations from some of hip-hop’s finest like Meek Mill, Gucci Mane and Offset. His latest 20-track album showcases some serious growth, starting with his “Catch the Sun” visual. It found the rapper at his most introspective for the Queen & Slim Soundtrack and has since been included on his new offering.
Earlier this year Lil Baby joined DaBaby to hop on the official remix to Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good.” Watch the new music video for “Heatin Up” above. In more music news, take a close look at Kanye West’s Sunday Service in Paris from this weekend.
