EXCLUSIVE: STAMPD x UGG Unveil Minimalistic Tasman Collaboration
Featuring three colorways, including “Black Bandana.”
Making good on last year’s announcement of an impending Spring/Summer 2020 collaboration with STAMPD, UGG has now unveiled the three-piece range that is set to hit the market later this month. STAMPD founder Chris Stamp utilized the cozy boot maker’s Tasman slippers, giving the cushy low-tops a neutral and minimalistic aesthetic throughout each edition.
The Tasman is crafted of soft canvas and featured in three practical colorways: “Black Bandana,” “Vaporous Grey,” and black. Standing out among the bunch is the bandana version, which sees a charcoal grey upper get printed with a contrasting white paisley print, providing the only pattern in the collection. It’s then placed on a black midsole and stark white outsole for a clean foundation.
The two solid-colored counterparts — black and Vaporous Grey — round out the assortment with more sensible and transitional options. Like the bandana model, both styles are constructed with a crisp white Treadlite by UGG™ outsole for a sturdy base. Each of the three editions are then finished off with a plush, UGGpure™ wool-blend lining and a beaded pull toggle for a subtle embellishment.
According to UGG, it’s the designer and the company’s “SoCal roots” that contributed to the duo’s shared sensibility. Stamp agrees, stating in a press release:
“Growing up both in the mountains of Colorado and on the beaches of Southern California, I always had a strong connection to UGG and what it meant to those cultures. Fast forward decades later, and being given the opportunity to bring my perspective to a few of their iconic silhouettes has not only been an honor, but such a fulfilling experience.”
STAMPD and UGG’s Tasman slippers retail for $175 USD each and will be available starting on March 14 at STAMPD and UGG stores, as well as both Stampd and UGG’s websites.
Elsewhere in footwear, UGG recently shared a closer look at its Fall/Winter 2020 collaboration with White Mountaineering.
