Lil Baby Continues 'My Turn' Run With Lil Wayne-Assisted "Forever" Video
Weezy x Baby.
It’s Lil Baby‘s world right now. His sophomore solo project My Turn is a proclamation that he’s ready to take over not just the dominant Atlanta rap scene, but become a No. 1 selling artist the world over. After two solid visual efforts in Sum 2 Prove and “Heatin Up”, and after hopping on Drake and Future‘s “Life Is Good” Remix with DaBaby, Lil Baby enlists Lil Wayne for “Forever.”
Directed by Jon J., the music video harkens back to the glory days of glamorous hip-hop visuals with raining dollar bills, a video vixen in arch-angel attire, an all-white Rolls Royce truck and backgrounds full of flames and ominous impending storm clouds. Baby showcases double time raps and goes verse for verse with Lil Wayne, who after his own No. 1 album in Funeral does’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. There’s a “sipping on a Promethazine latte” line that’s vintage Weezy, too.
