Stone Island Launches SS20 "Dust Color" Membrana Layered Garments
Stacked performance fabrics enlivened by special pigment treatment.
Adding another limited array of dyed goods to its seasonal rollout, Stone Island has launched a concise selection of Membrana goods for Spring/Summer 2020. The two items introduced as part of the first drop comprise layered performance fabrics and a special, earth-tinged pigment dye.
Stone Island’s Membrana items are specially-constructed to include stacked layers of unique textiles selected for their functional properties. Each features an impalpable polyester layer and outer nylon shell laminated to a breathable, water- and wind-proof membrane held together by heat-taped seams and the two SS20 pieces are no exception. An anorak and cargo pants feature distinctive external nylon layers affected with a “Dust Color” treatment that imparts a three-dimensional pigment patina unique to each piece.
