Jackson Wang has released “Thank You,” a new single that doubles as a tribute to the fans who carried him through every stage of his career. The accompanying video, co-directed by Jackson and Ojun Kwon and shot entirely on an iPhone 18 Pro, marks the artist’s first piece of music since joining Roc Nation management.
The clip is deliberately intimate. Rendered in black and white, it strips the production back and follows Jackson as he moves through different phases of his life, using the runtime to thank the people who championed him along the way. Rather than lean on spectacle, the visual treatment keeps the focus on the emotional throughline, a reflective look back that Jackson frames as a celebration of every era leading to this point.
The concept runs deeper than casting extras. Jackson opened the project to his global fanbase, drawing applicants from over 80 countries before selecting 30 individuals from China, the U.S., Australia, Mexico, the UK and beyond to appear on set. Each character, outfit and circle in the video is designed to stand in for a specific person, memory or chapter, turning the shoot into a physical map of the moments that shaped him.
Those moments stretch back well before the music. Jackson’s story includes an early athletic path in gymnastics and fencing, memories with childhood friends, and the rise of a music career that has since gone global, all the way through to the Roc Nation signing. That fencing background recently came full circle when he was named the International Fencing Federation’s first-ever global ambassador this July, spotlighting the sport he competed in before turning to music.
The single also caps a busy stretch. This spring, Jackson pushed his “MAGICMAN 2 World Tour” across North America and Latin America, including sold-out nights at Los Angeles’s Kia Forum and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The album itself debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and placed him inside the Top 15 of the Billboard Artist 100. With “Thank You” positioned as a chapter-closer, Jackson has framed it as a gateway to more new music rather than a full stop.
