Converse Japan Develops Chuck Taylor Sneakers for Golfers
High- and low-tops, plus a new spin on the Startech.

Converse Japan is no stranger to unusual Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, but its newest model is fairly conventional, at least on the surface. Beneath, the soles of three new styles are hiding hidden ridges, making the shoes specially friendly to grip-seeking golfers.
Both a high- and low-top All Star feature the subtle soles — intentionally invisible from the side — with the uppers relatively unchanged to reflect the versatility of the classic shoe. Simple colorways and timeless construction ensure the shoes partner well with all manor of golfwear, with the only nod to golf coming by way of the Converse Golf text on the insole. Accompanying the familiar styles is a green-ready Startech, sporting a classic Chevron logo and bi-color paneling atop the new golf outsoles.
