After celebrating Independence day with a bevy of patriotic offerings, the sneaker world has turned its attention back to summer ready silhouettes and colorways.

Sports, basketball in particular, had a lot to celebrate this past week as New Balance immortalized Kawhi Leonard’s move to the LA Clippers with a special edition pair of his signature OMN1S silhouette decked out in the west coast team’s colors. Additionally soon-to-be rival LeBron James previewed a Los Angeles Lakers-themed Nike LeBron 3 during the NBA Summer League. Nike on the other-hand, launched a new pair of Mercurials just ahead of USWNT’s championship win at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Footwear fans were also given a closer look at the COMME des GARÇONS x Air Jordan 1 Retro High, as well as sneak peeks at the forthcoming atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Animal 3.0” collaboration and A$AP Nast’s Converse NST2. In terms of rumors, adidas Originals’ YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 could potentially drop in “Cloud White” and “Citrin” colorways this fall.

But perhaps the biggest news to hit the sneaker world over the past seven days is in regards to Nike and its controversial Independence Day-themed Air Max 1s. After being pulled for spotlighting the “Betsy Ross Flag,” a flag used during an era when slavery was still prominent in the country, the sneaker quickly ended up on resale sites such as StockX and sold for $2,500 USD a pair.

Now with a new week ahead of us, we present the latest installment of our weekly drops list, showcasing what’s to come from your favorite footwear brands. Take a look at the list below and let us know what releases you’re looking forward to.
