UPDATE (5 July 2019): atmos founder Hidefumi Hommyo provided a better look at the upcoming “Animal 3.0” collaboration on Instagram, noting that the models are “very limited.” Information regarding a release date, however, is yet to be announced.

ORIGINAL (3 July 2019): Last seen in early 2018, atmosNike Air Max 1 “Beast” pack revived the Japanese label’s animal print-heavy 2007 collaboration with some slight tweaks. atmos director Hirofumi Kojima took to social media recently to hint at a third iteration of the collaborative effort, showcasing several head-turning variations on the theme.

Showcasing only a single shot of the three sneakers’ heels, Kojima insinuated that the upcoming release will comprise three separate coloways, trading the mashed-up paneling of the past releases for a single pattern per shoe. Atop each sneakers’ pony hair uppers, one can see white and brown cow detailing, orange and black leopard and a similarly-toned tiger iteration stretching from front to back. Equally dynamic “NIKE AIR” branding on the heel lends further distinction to each sneaker, while white midsoles and black outsoles anchor the playful patterns.

No release date or official imagery of the sneakers has emerged, unsurprisingly, though if it’s any hint regarding the forthcoming drop, last year’s sneakers first launched around Air Max Day ‘18.

Elsewhere, Nike introduced an Air Max silhouette intended for boxers.
