With Halloween just around the corner, sneaker heavyweights, such as Nike and Vans, are preparing a bevy of themed options. Before we get into this week’s best drops however, let’s take a look at some of the biggest headlines from the past seven days.
Following Eliud Kipchoge’s historic sub two-hour marathon achievement, the IAAF is set to investigate Nike’s ZoomX Vaporfly runner. Elsewhere, adidas executive Eric Liedtke, the one responsible for collaborations with Kanye West and Beyoncé, is set to depart the company.
The 2019-20 NBA season is also about to kick off, and to celebrate, Nike and NBA 2K20 have linked up for gamer-exclusive sneaker releases. Fans can also get a sneak peek at what four of Nike’s biggest basketball players will be wearing during opening week.
According to a few first looks, Nike fans can also look forward to an Air Fear of God 1 “Oatmeal” and the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Pine Green,” while adidas fans could be seeing a YEEZY 500 High “Slate” and possible YEEZY Slides for the young ones. The Three Stripes also seems to have a Star Wars x adidas Nite Jogger “Stormtrooper” and Pharrell Williams x adidas 4D Runner Mid Hu on the way.
Additionally, a potential pair of PEACEMINUSONE x Converse All Star Chuck 70s surfaced, and we got a better look at the Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low in “University Red.”
