Air Jordan

Jordan, named after legendary basketball player and cultural icon Michael Jordan, is a sportswear and footwear brand owned and operated by Nike in Beaverton, Oregon. The Swoosh signed Jordan in 1984 and immediately launched a signature line for the young phenom in unprecedented fashion, dubbing the subdivision Air Jordan as a nod to his ability to fly above the rim. Today, the Jordan brand offers much more than MJ’s ever-popular flagship basketball sneakers; it produces everything from golf cleats to comprehensive apparel collections, all of which still goes through its namesake for approval. If there was every one brand name synonymous with greatness, it’s Jordan.
