Take a Closer Look at END.'s Sophisticated New Balance 878 "Grey Gull"
HYPEBEAST gets up close with the luxe leather-covered ’90s runner.

British retailer END. and New Balance recently came together on a collaborative 878, dubbed the “Grey Gull.”
Drawing inspiration from the British coast, the shoe features a blue-grey leather upper, smooth grey and black suede overlays, and orange detailing in true homage to the seaside seagull. The illustrious collaborative partnership brought subtly, luxury and color to the early ’90s runner, and now HYPEBEAST has its hand on a pair for a closer look.
Getting up close with the 878, we see luxe leathers wrap around the entirety of the sneaker, with creasing and grain-lines on pressure areas such as the heel and tongue. Elsewhere, END. has placed its moniker on the insole in silver, and highlights the shoe’s ABZORB sole unit with another dash of orange. Rounding off the limited-edition pair is a touch of red outlining the orange “N” emblem and immaculate embroidery throughout.
