With folks gearing up for spooky season by sprucing up their abodes with Halloween decor and the gloomier weather starting to show face more consistently, it’s really starting to feel like fall. And to spice up the seasonal change, footwear brands like Nike, ASICS, adidas and more are blessing the sneaker community with a new batch of launches. Before we get to those though, let’s do a recap of all of the bigger sneaker news pieces that sprung up last week.

Our Sole Mates series was on its regular scheduled programming and broadened with a new feature with Wish Atlanta and Antidote’s founder Lauren Amos. She caught up with HYPEBEAST to discuss her appreciation for the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Cortez Platform. In terms of news, Nike had plenty of products to uncover such as more AMBUSH® x Nike Air Force 1 colorways, a Nike Dunk Low “Industrial Blue” colorway, an SB Dunk Low with black uppers and gum bottoms as well as an Air Max Penny 1 “Faded Spruce” makeup. Additionally, Tom Sachs stirred up some excitement because he executed a surprise drop of his Nike GPS “Archive” at Kohl’s. On the Jordan Brand side, we caught a further look at Zion Willamson’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo,” caught word of a pair of Ye’s Jordan 6 “Donda West” being auctioned off and witnessed the Air Jordan 1 Low Elevate gets hit with a “Lucky Green” arrangement.

Major items from the adidas camp were so revealed. The German juggernaut previewed a duel-ready collection with Yu-Gi-Oh!, teased the adidas YEEZY 450 “Stone Teal” colorway, unveiled more adidas adiFOM Q installments and honored the Lakers and Bucks with two Forum ‘84 High renditions.

Moreover, Cecilie Bahnsen unveiled a floral-covered ASICS collaboration, INVINCIBLE, N.HOOLYWOOD and New Balance came together for a M1906RNI “Grey Swan” partnership and a One Piece x Vans Authentic collaboration emerged.

Now that you’re all updated with the latest in sneakers, let’s get into the best releases of the week here below. Once you’re all done peeping those, head over to HBX to shop for more footwear styles.

Steven Harrington x Crocs “Quickstrike”

Release Date: October 4
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: Foot Locker
Why You Should Cop: Crocs continues to spike in popularity thanks to its consistent stream of collaborative projects. After serving up a comedic collection alongside 7-Eleven, the clog experts are now teaming up with artist Steve Harrington for a whacky team-up. The kicks are swarmed in psychedelic hues that depict some of his most recognizable characters and motifs and come packaged with eight custom art Jibbitz.

HAL STUDIOS® x ASICS GEL-1130 “Forest”

Release Date: October 5
Release Price: $190 USD
Where to Buy: HAL STUDIOS®
Why You Should Cop: ASICS has been impressing the sneaker crowd with a flurry of collaborative projects lately, and it’s aiming to keep its momentum rolling strong with another team-up with HAL STUDIOS®. The Australian imprint is following up its GEL-1130 take with yet another variation, and this time around the brand has turned to the Shinto shrines of Japan’s dense forests to influence this iteration’s fall-friendly palette. Drab olive covers the mesh base while earthy accents cover the tiger stripes, suede toe caps and leather overlays. The kicks will be available for pre-order starting October 5 but won’t arrive until Q2 in 2023.

Air Jordan 3 “Black/Gold”

Release Date: October 6
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Jordan Brand blended regal accents with a “Black Cement” color palette and the Air Jordan 3 “Black/Gold” was born. MJ’s imprint elected to construct a modernized take of one of its classics by sprinkling notes of gold to the tongues, throat and collars of this AJ 3 makeup. Black side panels and signature elephant print overlays are ushered in to speak to MJ’s brand heritage.

A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Chuck 70 Hi

Release Date: October 6
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: After leaning into the clog movement and crafting a moon-ready Sponge Crater model with Converse, A-COLD-WALL has reunited with the sportswear imprint for a duo of Chuck 70 His. The “Silver Birch” and “Pavement” colorways are done up with grayscale palettes, and come accessorized with branded blocks on the lateral sides, oversized ACW-related text hits and see-through midsole units.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN Laceless “Analog”

Release Date: October 6
Release Price: $220 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: While Ye still remains contractually tied to the adidas brand, he’s going to slot in as many footwear releases as he can. And next up on his agenda is the adidas Yeezy 700 MNVN Laceless “Analog” colorway. Standard reflective “700” hits are applied to the lateral sides while the slip-on uppers come pieced together with off-white synthetic panels and black trim.

Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R

Release Date: October 6
Release Price: $165 USD
Where to Buy: Aimé Leon Dore
Why You Should Cop: Thanks to Aimé Leon Dore’s takes on the 550, both the streetwear label and New Balance started to see a huge appetite for more offerings from the two. And now with several collaborations under their belt, the duo is slated to broaden their wings with a trio of 650R colorways. “Green”, “Navy” and “Grey” renditions are incorporated in this range, each of which is manufactured with premium full-grain leather overlays and mesh underlays. Co-branded hits are fittingly positioned in the tongues, insoles and lower heels.

South Park x adidas Campus 80 “Towelie”

Release Date: October 6
Release Price: $100 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Adidas and South Park have joined forces on a barrage of collaborative projects, and one of their most coveted is the Towelie-inspired Campus 80 that originally launched on 4/20 in 2021. The kicks are now gearing up for a restock and come fashioned to mimic the aesthetic and feel of the comical character. Standout features include the towel-like uppers and eyes atop the tongues that turne “bloodshot” when exposed to UV light.

Air Jordan 3 “Archaeo Brown”

Release Date: October 7
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: The colder seasons of 2022 are gradually starting to settle in now, and Jordan Brand is aiming to get you supplied appropriately with its Air Jordan 3 Winterized “Archaeo Brown.” Water-resistant mesh underlays are set on the leather-based upper. The shoe also replaces the traditional elephant print overlays with exposed stitches on the heel counter and toe, while a sail midsole and a grey outsole string its look together.

Concepts x Vault by Vans “Question the Answers” Collection

Release Date: October 7
Release Price: $90-110 USD
Where to Buy: Concepts
Why You Should Cop: Before Concepts makes sneakerheads go crazy over the upcoming SB Dunk Low “Orange Lobster” release, the Boston-based streetwear and footwear retailer is making room for another project made with Vault by Vans. This assemblage serves as a homage to the ‘80s Two-Tone scene as it takes a hallmark mohair fabric reminiscent of the punk scene and merges it with Vans’ classic checkerboard patterns. The OG SK8-Hi, OG Authentic LX, and an OG Old Skool NS LX silhouettes are highlighted in the capsule.

Nike Dunk Low “Argon”

Release Date: October 8
Release Price: $130 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Once known as a Japan-exclusive, the Nike Dunk Low “Argon” is now returning to the market. This time, the distribution will be much wider as a SNKRS app release is in order, and it’s set to return with all of its original design cues. Top halves are predominantly formed with two shades of blue that alternate amongst its smooth leather panels while notes of white drop off on the laces, Swooshes, liners and midsoles.
