Nike's AF1 "GORE-TEX" Pack Preps Us for Winter in This Week's Best Footwear Drops
Along with a new Nike FOG 1, Missoni x adidas, Aries x New Balance, the Curry 7, and more.
Another Monday and another week jam-packed with a myriad of footwear releases, from trail runners to performance basketball sneakers. But, before we dive into this week’s drops, let’s have a look back at the previous seven days of footwear news.
Last week was dominated by not one, not two, but three shake-ups on the executive floor of the industry. The week started with news of adidas executive Eric Liedtke announcing his departure from the sportswear giant. Eric is mostly associated with bringing Kanye West aboard. A day later, Under Armour revealed that its founder, Kevin Plank, would be stepping down from his role as CEO; then the final bombshell hit when it was announced that Nike’s Mark Parker would hand over his CEO duties to John Donahoe.
Elsewhere, the worlds of sneakers and gaming collided yet again, as Call of Duty announced a new partnership with adidas Originals, while NBA 2K20 teamed up with Nike for a special LeBron 17 release.
We also received a first look at some new YEEZY slides, a Lance Mountain-inspired AJ1 Low, and the return of Nike’s Air Max Plus 3 silhouette. Lastly, HYPEBEAST editors got together to list out their favorite boots for winter.
Now, with last week out of the way, we present the latest installment of our weekly footwear drops list, showcasing what’s to come from your favorite footwear brands. Take a look at the list below and let us know what releases you’re looking forward to.
