adidas Executive Responsible for Kanye West, Beyoncé Collaborations Will Depart the Company
Eric Liedtke will leave adidas this year.

adidas has announced that Executive Board Member Eric Liedtke will depart the company later this year. Liedtke has been with the brand for over two decades, working his way up from Global Line Manager for Cross Training to a lynchpin for securing coveted collaborations.
Liedtke worked for adidas in its American and Herzogenaurach headquarters throughout his career, eventually taking on the role of Executive Board Member of adidas AG, responsible for Global Brands. From there, the 52-year-old initiated partnerships with Parley for the Oceans and various influential creatives, including Kanye West, Beyoncé and Pharrell.
Eric Liedtke has done a great job in positioning adidas as the creator sports brand,” said adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted. “I can only praise his marketing expertise, his unrivaled passion for our brands and his commitment to sustainability. Together with all adidas employees, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Eric and wish him all the best for his future endeavors.”
The Supervisory Board and Liedtke have mutually agreed to part ways on December 31, 2019.
In the meantime, adidas is only ramping up its collaborative efforts, with rumors recently surfacing that The Three Stripes will soon partner with none other than Prada.
