Nike Revamps its Air Max Plus 3 in "Dynamic Yellow/Hyper Violet"
Resurrecting the old silhouette.

Nike has resurrected its Air Max 3, a silhouette that debuted in 1990 which closely resembles the succeeding model Air Max 90. This time around, the Air Max 3 has been revamped with a new Plus iteration in “Dynamic Yellow/Hyper Violet,” adding a full new heel, while maintaining elements of its original sleekness around the forefoot.
Coming in a mix of mesh, leather and rubber materials, the Plus revamp comes with a bevy of updated textiles that give the retro Air Max 3 a futuristic look and feel. The top of the tongue is stamped with “Tn Air” branding over a black leather base that surrounds the collars, mudguards and upper heel. To offset the blacked-out paneling, the forefoot is glossed in rich yellow and violet gradients complemented by rubber overlays and a tiny Swoosh. One distinctive highlight is the technical Tuned Air heel piece, layered with thin black rubber ridges over an inner yellow base. All of these details sit atop a crisp white Air Sole unit with translucent bubbles.
The Nike Air Max Plus 3 “Dynamic Yellow/Hyper Violet” is currently available at nike.com for $192 USD.
