Repurposing last summer’s packable sandal partnership, NEEDLES and Suicoke are back together for Spring/Summer 2020. The duo have revived their geta-inspired thong sandals, now offered in more colors and with carrying cases.

Olive, black and “Snakeskin” (pale cream) iterations are all available with the same silhouettes as the previous iterations. Atop a lug Vibram Wurstel sole, the sandals sport thick patterned straps, fastened to the base with knotted fabric. Each one offers different patterns, from the paisley print on the olive pair to the blue-tinged snakeskin pattern on the cream set.

Because the Wurstel sole is designed with interlocking ridges, the sandals can be hooked together for easy storage; cloth bags with matching patterns and color schemes are included with each set of shoes for effortless transport.

NEPENTHES’ Japanese web store will offer the sandals on May 2, expect a Western release date to follow in coming months.

Recently, Suicoke has partnered with a host of Japanese brands, including Descente ALLTERRAIN and WACKO MARIA, for remixes of its signature sandal styles.
