Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin Rumored to Appear in 'Spider-Man 3'
Along with Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman.

Marvel‘s upcoming third installment of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man is gearing up to be one of the most ambitious superhero movies ever, bridging across three franchises through its multiverse.
Now, a new round of rumors from The Illuminerdi is suggesting that both Willem Dafoe and Thomas Haden Church will make appearances as the Green Goblin and Sandman from Sam Raimi’s trilogy. While both are still negotiating their casting deals and nothing has been finalized, sources reveal that the two characters have always been part of Marvel’s plan for Spider-Man 3.
The news comes after numerous castings have already been made from the older generations of Spider-Man films. Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina are both confirmed to be reprising their roles as Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the Doc Ock from Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, while recent reports suggest that Andrew Garfield will be returning as the friendly neighborhood superhero alongside Kirsten Dunst, who played the first iteration of Mary Jane Watson in the 2002 trilogy.
For fans of Spidey and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
Elsewhere in the MCU, Captain Marvel 2 has been delayed until November 2022.
