Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television are reportedly closing in on a series order for a live-action television project based on Marvel Comics’ famous Clone Saga storyline. According to Deadline, the upcoming series will center on Spider-Man clones Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker as part of Sony’s Universe of Marvel characters.
Written by American Born Chinese creator Kelvin Yu, the development succeeds Spider-Noir, which was canceled by Prime Video after one season. Executive producers Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller are expected to oversee the project alongside Yu under Amazon MGM Studios and Sony TV’s multi-title Marvel agreement.
While narrative details remain limited, sources indicate the show will follow Ben Reilly—known in comic lore as the Scarlet Spider—and Kaine Parker as they grapple with their newly discovered identities as clones while facing external threats. However, insiders caution that the screen adaptation may introduce significant story departures from the original 1990s source material. Under the current distribution strategy, the series is slated for a linear debut on MGM+ before arriving on Prime Video.
