Mozzy Delivers New 'Internal Affairs' Visual & Single, "Shine'n For Diamond"
His next LP is set to drop next week.
A couple weeks after releasing a Mother’s Day-inspired record titled “Legal Guardian/Guardian Angel,” Mozzy serves up another new single in support of his forthcoming studio album Internal Affairs. Following up the previous, Lil Poppa-assisted Internal Affairs single “Winning,” Mozzy links up with Bay Area-based filmmaker, videographer, editor and photographer David Camarena (Kehlani, SOB X RBE, Famous Dex, Joe Moses) to deliver a visual for one of his forthcoming LP’s solo cuts, “Shine’n For Diamond.”
“I seen an interview with Will Smith, and he said, ‘You could be prettier than me, you could have more money than me, you could just have everything, all your attributes could be way doper, 10 times doper than mine, but you not finna outwork me.’ And that’s how I feel,” Mozzy told The Atlantic‘s Hannah Giorgis last fall, sharing some insight into his current state of mind and opening up about what influences and inspires him. “I’m not lettin’ nobody outwork me. I’m just applyin’ press, full court press, and I don’t care what nobody talkin ‘bout, I don’t care how nobody feel about my shit. I create music for myself, shit that I can throw in the deck and vibe out to and cry to and smoke my dope to and enjoy my life to … My music based on reality, soulful, very touching, gang-related, heart-felt, full of consequences. It’s just the lifestyle we live. I try not to glorify it, I give you the good, bad, and ugly.”
