A Look at Oyster Holdings x adidas Originals' Retro SS19 Capsule
Athletic pieces inspired by travel and vintage sportswear.
After taking a look at adidas Originals x Oyster Holdings’ new “48-Hour Pack” Samba OGs earlier this week, the duo have released a lookbook to showcase the sporty apparel collection that accompanies the footwear.
Teaming up for the third time, their latest assortment imagines a number of classic athletic pieces for Spring/Summer 2019 that reflect the idea that “Traveling is a Sport®️.” The palette is grounded in primary colors of red, yellow and blue, with the vivid tones saturating the likes of retro windbreakers, jersey-style polos and shorts and accessories fit for a “World Traveler’s Cup.”
Digging into archival adidas product helped to inform the assortment’s aesthetic, which references sportswear such as vintage tracksuits and Olympic team uniforms. Logos from both labels are featured throughout, capping the styles off with distinct branding hits.
The Oyster Holdings x adidas Originals SS19 capsule will be available starting on May 31 at Travelingisasport.com.
