Despite the NBA season coming to a close last month with the Boston Celtics triumphing over the Dallas Mavericks, the league has remained a focal point for sports fans as not only did last week feature the NBA Draft, but the beginning of the already chaotic free agency as well. As various stars declare their allegiance to new franchises, the usual lineup of sneaker brands — Nike, New Balance, adidas, PUMA, Jordan Brand and ASICS — are back with a new roster of kicks to consider copping. However, before we let you know what sneakers you should have on your radar this week, let’s take a look back at what footwear headlines from the past seven days stood out.

Starting with the feature front, we recapped the 10 biggest footwear moments of Paris Fashion Week, highlighting everything from COMME des GARÇONS x Nike to ROMBAUT x PUMA. We also presented our biannual round-up of editors’ picks in footwear, sharing our favorite shoes of the year thus far.

As for the key pieces of news, Nike stock had its worst day on record due to a projected 10% sales decline in the current quarter. However, new rumors and reveals have brewed up fresh excitement surrounding the Swoosh. The brand took to Instagram to tease the return of its fabled Wu-Tang Clan Dunk Highs, which are said to be releasing this fall. As for the rumor mill, it pointed to a potential return of the original Off-White™ x Nike “The Ten” collection for its 10th anniversary in 2027.

Word of the legendary UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 returning in 2025 also popped up, while other Jordan Brand-related rumors involved a Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Varsity Red” for 2025. We also caught a closer look at the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Velvet Brown” as additional information regarding the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM project surfaced. Elsewhere in the footwear industry, New Balance made noise with first looks at the INVINCIBLE x N. HOOLYWOOD x New Balance 1906U and Action Bronson x New Balance Minimus Trail.

Now that you’re up to speed on the latest happenings in the sneaker space, let’s go ahead and see which ten sneaker releases are standouts this week. Afterwards, be sure to stop by HBX to shop styles that are available now.
