Art publisher JRP|Editions and acclaimed photographer Ari Marcopoulos unveil their latest collaboration, a limited-edition lithograph series titled Frank, Cooper Square (1995). This six-color lithograph, created in partnership with galerie frank elbaz, is based on Marcopoulos’ iconic 1995 photograph capturing the essence of New York City’s East Village skate culture.

The release features a main edition of 99 hand-signed pieces complemented by a special edition of 50 uniquely spray-painted prints using red and yellow spray paint by the artist. This collaboration showcases Marcopoulos’ distinctive style in documenting contemporary urban life and subcultures.

Coinciding with this release, Marcopoulos is currently exhibiting at Le Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, where he’s showing photographs and a long-lost video as part of a “carte blanche” granted for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Additionally, his work is on display at Dashwood Projects in New York featuring photographs and a short film of sumo wrestlers and judo students.

The Frank, Cooper Square (1995) lithographs are now available through JRP|Editions, offering art enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of Marcopoulos’ influential work.
