Action Bronson Has Heard Your Comments About His New Balance Minimus Trail Collaboration
“My foot is not the best model foot for shoe [sic]. Performance, style and pizazz is what this Minimus has.”

Update: Action Bronson revealed his New Balance Minimus Trail collaboration earlier this week — a low-profile trail runner that offers a much more trim look than his past 990v6 and 1906R collaborations — and since the reveal, the brolic entertainer has been the butt of jokes across social media, with various commentators noting that the slender shoes make for an unusual contrast with his stout legs.
Though the comments range from good-natured to (in some cases) mean-spirited, Bronson appears ambivalent about the situation. He recently took to his Instagram Stories to address the situation in traditional Baklava fashion across two posts: “My foot is not the best model foot for shoe [sic]. Performance, style, and pizazz is what this Minimus has,” read the first. “BAKLAVA,” the second simply stated.

Update: Action Bronson and New Balance are on a roll, having just dropped all three of their collaborative 1906Rs in the past month. Running with this momentum, Bronson teased what’s next from the duo — a Minimus Trail project. Now, we have a closer look at what’s in store for fans of the partners as Bronson was spotted rocking the previously-teased pair. The already-identified color arrangement of blue, green, yellow and tan is highlighted by orange at the laces. Release remains unannounced, so stay tuned for updates, including any additional colorways that the two might have cooked up in addition to this pair. Original Story: Fresh off the back of his 1906R “Scorpius” release with New Balance, Action Bronson is cookin’ up on the collaborative footwear front again by taking to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of a new take on the brand’s Minimus Trail silhouette. Bronson’s choice of color palettes on his past collaborations has been decidedly esoteric, but he’s usually stuck with popular models — the 990v6, the aforementioned 1906R — making his pivot to the little-known trail running silhouette a compelling summertime surprise.
One of the sleekest and lightest styles in New Balance’s trail lineup, the Minimus Trail features a sleek mesh upper with a reinforced toe cap above a decoupled outsole and a flexible midfoot made of FreshFoam, all of which work together to supply a close-to-the-ground feel. Though all the silhouettes’ tech remains intact, Bronson has given the Minimus Trail a jolt of life with a wild color scheme that combines earthy green shades with tan, sport blue and icy yellow embellishments. A custom tag is pinned to the exposed foam tongue, and boot-style laces, a signature Bronson touch, replace the standard athletic lace style. All these elements make for a look that, color-wise, sits somewhere between Bronson’s inaugural 990v6 collaboration and his 990v6 “”Lapis Lazuli.”
At the time of writing, no release information has been announced. Stay tuned for further updates as they’re made available.
