Random Identities SS25 Blends Past and Present for Timeless Style
Inspired in part by 1970s fashion.
You could say Random Identities has a uniform of sorts. Not a uniform in a traditional sense. But a uniform that caters to not just meeting, but exalting various personalities and styles. Since its establishment in 2017, that’s exactly what founder/creative director Stefano Pilato has been doing with the ready-to-wear brand and the new Spring/Summer 2025 collection is no different.
For the latest offering, Pilato blends past and present for timeless style. To begin, the past element takes root in the 1970s – looking at the period’s self-expressive themes. From that starting point, Pilato fuses its personality with his key focus on expressive sartorial elegance through tailoring, Across the wardrobe, key tailored looks see classic-hued double-breasted blazers with widened cuffs and asymmetrical hems, terry cloth jackets, varied-fabric outerwear and a sharply-cut midi skirt.
1970s style notes are continued through fitted silhouettes, relaxed pants and slightly wide shorts. But the times then fuse as notions of the past meet the present via contemporary styling that pairs tailored garments with casual ones, select knitwear, a varsity jacket and tees. Solidifying the fusion of styles is the range of mixed fabrications and hues that permeate the collection’s entirety.
Finishing off the collection is a short catalog of accessories that includes bags, belts and shoes like penny loaders.
