The Spring/Summer 2027 season officially kicked off the global fashion calendar with Tokyo Fashion Week setting a surprisingly moody, autumn-leaning tone through dark palettes and structured menswear styling. Running from August 31 to September 5, the streets of the Japanese capital favored deep earth tones and complex multi-layering over conventional bright spring aesthetics.
Dark, earthy colors dominated the pavement throughout the week, with attendees leaning into head-to-toe black, deep brown, khaki, olive green, and dark burgundy accents. Male styling across the city heavily favored a minimalist chic approach, executed through monochrome all-black fits, sharp tailoring, and understated technical outerwear.
