OM SYSTEM is bringing the PEN name to a new interchangeable-lens camera, pairing a rangefinder-style body with an electronic viewfinder and the series’ first dust-resistant, splash-resistant design. The OM SYSTEM PEN arrives in silver or black in late October 2026, starting at $999.99 USD for the body.

A flat top keeps the silhouette compact, while the camera weighs approximately 393 grams with its battery and memory card. Inside, a 20.37-megapixel Live MOS sensor works with the TruePic IX processor. Five-axis image stabilization offers up to 5.5 stops of compensation at the center under the manufacturer’s test conditions. Autofocus combines 121 cross-type phase-detection points with AI subject detection for people, cats and dogs.

A front-mounted switch opens Color and Monochrome Profile Control, with presets and adjustments for a film-inspired look. A separate computational photography button provides access to features including high-resolution capture, Live ND and focus stacking.

The PEN’s IPX1 splash resistance applies when paired with a compatible dust- and splash-resistant lens, outside charging or HDMI use. A kit with the new M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 III zoom will cost $1,099.99 USD.
