Update: Word of UNDEFEATED and Jordan Brand revisiting their legendary Air Jordan 4 collaboration from 2005 for its 20th anniversary sent the sneaker world into a frenzy last year. As collectors have counted down the days until its launch, we finally have a first look at what to expect from the long-awaited project via the Instagram post embedded below. An early in-hand preview of the sneaker reveals that its original military green, black and orange color scheme remains in tact with its removable tongue patch revealing a “JORDAN RARE AIR” callout. This version of the sneaker sports Nike Air branding at the heel instead of the Jumpman found on the original, however, it is rumored that a version of the shoe with Jumpman heel branding will be releasing as well. No specific launch date has been announced by the duo so stay tuned for more updates as it is expected to drop by the end of the year via Nike SNKRS and UNDEFEATED at a starting price of $225 USD.

Original Story: Back in 2005, UNDEFEATED became Jordan Brand‘s first-ever collaborative partner when they created a MA-1 flight jacket-inspired iteration of the Air Jordan 4 that was limited to a scant 72-pair run. Since then, the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 has become a bona fide icon — one that serves as a pillar of modern-day sneaker culture, and can even fetch five-figure sums on the secondary market.

Now, the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 is set to re-release for the first time: per reports from eldenmonitors, House of Heat and zsneakerheadz, it will return in 2025 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Though photos of the reissue have yet to be revealed (an original 2005 pair is pictured above), its leaked color specs read “Deep Green/Clementine/Black/Sail,” a strong indication that it’ll be a true-to-the-original retro release. However, at the time of writing, there’s no telling if the style will feature a slight colorblocking remix or material alterations, or if it’ll have its signature detail: the removable Velcro Jumpman badge on the tongue.

Besides its color scheme becoming a staple in the UNDEFEATED lexicon over the last 19 years, the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 has had several moments in the limelight since its release, seemingly serving as inspiration for the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Medium Olive” in 2023 and being repurposed for 2022’s UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 37. A sample pair surfaced in 2018 as well, causing a great deal of rumors and speculation that ultimately went nowhere. The news arrives at a time in which the Air Jordan 4 has seemingly unseated the Air Jordan 1 as Jordan Brand’s most popular retro model, with pairs like the Air Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined,” Air Jordan 4 “Industrial Blue” and Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green” garnering immense amounts of attention.

Expect the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 to return as part of Jordan Brand’s summer 2025 release lineup and stay tuned for more info as it’s made available.
