Nike's Air Force 1 Mule Returns
Featuring stacked sole units.
Nike first debuted the Nike Air Force 1 mule, formally known as the Nike Air Force 1 Lover XX Premium, in 2018 as part of its “Reimagined” collection — a series created for women fueled by an all-female design collective. As mules have seen a recent surge in popularity, Nike revisits the Lover XX silhouette in off-white, black, and “Cinder Orange.”
The laceless design is essentially a chopped version of the AF-1, featuring matte leather uppers with perforations on the tongue for breathability. Nike Swooshes are embroidered on the heel and outsole grooves are echoed on the insoles. Nike’s latest mules follow its highly popular collaboration with Martine Rose for the Shox Mule MR4 and similar entries from other footwear giants such as Reebok‘s Club C Laceless Mule and the New Balance 2002R mule.
The Nike Air Force 1 Lover XX Premium is now available via Nike for $130 USD. While released as a women’s-exclusive, the pairs now arrive in larger sizes as well.
