Continuing Stone Island’s line of cult publications, the brand has teamed up with Hypebeast to create a limited-edition magazine commemorating its 40th anniversary. Titled Famiglia, the magazine explores the unity of family — an ethos that has been ingrained into the label for the last four decades.

“For us Italians, Famiglia is a pillar on which the country can survive.”
Carlo Rivetti, CEO Stone Island

As well as covering its iconic legacy and lasting impact on fashion, Famiglia traces its subcultural history and how fans around the world have assembled dedicated communities that continue to keep the torch lit. This special-edition magazine also unearths Stone Island’s renowned garment-making process straight from its material testing and dyeing labs in Ravarino, providing an extensive overview of the brand’s technical innovations accompanied by exclusive footage into some of its most famed pieces.

Featuring in-depth interviews with some of the minds behind Stone Island, including acclaimed designer Paul Harvey and technical expert Andrea Moro, the brand’s head honcho Carlo Rivetti sits down with Hypebeast for an intimate conversation on what makes Stone Island the brand it is today as well as what we can expect in the future.

Finished with a hi-gloss coating and embossed 40th anniversary logo, limited copies of the special-edition Hypebeast x Stone Island Famiglia magazine will be available to purchase on October 13 via HBX, Stone Island stores and select retailers.

To celebrate the launch, notable figures have been brought together for a panel talk covering the pillars of the brand, held at the Stone Island flagship store in London on October 12 and live-streamed exclusively on Instagram at 2pm EST / 7pm BST.
