The Tune Squad Takes Center Stage on the 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' x Converse Japan Chuck Taylor All-Star Collection
Low and high-cut Chucks, each with a unique all-over print.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is a buzzy collaborative partner this summer, as companies from McDonalds to Tommy Jeans and Trolli have worked with the forthcoming film on special projects. Of course, due to its basketball themes and LeBron James‘ starring role there’s bound to be co-created footwear as well — and Converse Japan has whipped up two special takes on the beloved Chuck Taylor All Star, each featuring a special Space Jam print.
The first pair is a low-cut Chuck that features a richly detailed Tune Squad collage across the entirety of its upper. Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester Tweety Bird, Elmer Fudd and the Tasmanian Devil are all present and accounted for, wearing their new Tune Squad jerseys to boot. There’s also a Tune Squad spellout on the lateral side of the midsole bumper, and a drop-in React foam midsole with special branding that provides modernized cushioning.
Next up is a high-cut Chuck. Converse Japan’s faithful re-creation of the original Chuck Taylor, it opts for a more simple print than its counterpart, repeating the Looney Tunes-inspired Tune Squad graphic across the expanses of its white canvas build. There’s also a Space Jam stamp on the inside of the collar and a signature All-Star badge on the medial side.
Due to licensing rights, Converse Japan is an entirely separate company from Converse USA — so both of these pairs are set for a Japan-only release on the Converse Japan webstore this July, priced at a tax-included ¥9,900 JPY (approximately $89 USD).
