Jayson Tatum's Air Jordan 35 "Animal Instincts" PE Is Covered In Tiger Print
A nod to the Celtics forward’s fierceness, quickness and tenacity on the court.

Jordan Brand has revealed Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum‘s latest Air Jordan 35 PE: a tiger-inspired “Animal Instinct.” A nod to Tatum’s fierceness, quickness and tenacity on the court, the “Animal Instinct” made its debut in the Celtics’ March 31 game against the Dallas Mavericks and fellow Jordan Brand family member Luka Dončić.
Tatum is no stranger to loud player edition sneakers — past makeups have nodded to everything from his tattoos to the strong women in his life — but even so, the “Animal Instincts” is one of his most visceral styles yet. Mudguards, heels and tongues are covered in a camo-like orange, olive and black tiger print, working with neon orange on the quarter panel’s Flightwire plus neon orange laces, throats and heel tabs for a wild look. Most of the branding is done up in neon orange as well, with the Air Jordan 5-inspired tongues split between a Jumpman and Tatum’s JT logo. Small hits of neon green on the top two eyestays, quarter and bottom of the throat add more flair to the mix, with a plain black toebox offering a semblance of normalcy.
Things ramp right back up on the bottom half, however: the midfoot’s signature Eclipse Plate 2.0 takes on a bright neon orange tone, speckled with black detailing. This responsive support shank houses neon green Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel, while the rest of the midsole is made from black EVA foam. Glowing green outsoles round off the look.
As this AJ35 was made specifically for Tatum, it won’t see a retail release. However, you can check out photos above and expect to see several more PEs from the Celtics forward over the course of the NBA season.
