Allen Iverson is an icon for several different reasons including his ankle breaking crossovers, his undeniable streetwear swag and of course, his signature sneakers. In relation to the latter, Reebok will be commemorating the 20-year anniversary of the NBA Hall of Famer’s Answer IV “OG” colorway with a relaunch alongside extremely limited serial-numbered “Answer-Versary” trading cards.

Answer IV is the crown jewel of Iverson’s journey and the cultural shift he helped to lead,” states veteran Reebok Footwear Designer Xavier Jones when speaking on the shoes. “It is without a doubt one of the most iconic sneakers to ever grace the hardwood.”

Its low-slung design is pieced together with a full leather upper, the tumbled rear sections being lent a clean white hue while the lower half of its zippered shroud and throughout the toe box region is coated with a candy red. Gray accents also enter along the “I3” racing-inspired side wall components, as well as through the lace loops and the Reebok branding on the tongues.

DMX cushioning is loaded up into the midsoles, the outside being split between more red surfacing in the forefoot and gray skins towards the rear. Furthermore, the outsole is ornamented with OG graphics like AI’s face on the underfoot, engraved “Only The Strong Survive” taglines and “I3” and vector logos distributed to the bridge and forefoot.

As mentioned above, a limited amount of “Answer-Versary” trading cards that pay tribute to the iconic silhouette and Iverson’s 2000-2001 MVP season will accompany the launch, all of which will be individually numbered up 199.

If interested, the Reebok Answer IV “OG” comes back on April 15 via Reebok and select retailers.

Elsewhere in footwear news, Japanese boutique 1LDK recently unveiled its Reebok Club C 85 collaboration.
