'Wonder Woman 1984' Joins Xbox for a Set of Special Edition Consoles
Fans will have a chance to win one, and auction for another.

Despite being delayed by the ongoing coronavirus, the anticipation for the upcoming DC Comics film Wonder Woman 1984 hasn’t slowed down at all, gaining even more traction after a new trailer dropped over the weekend during the 24-hour virtual event DC FanDome. Now, Microsoft has unveiled a three-console special edition Xbox One X set celebrating the forthcoming theatrical release.
The first of the three consoles come inspired by Wonder Woman’s new winged golden armor, entirely handcrafted with luxurious 24-carat gold leaves. Those interested in getting a hold of this custom console will have to win it at an upcoming auction, where the proceeds will all go to Together for Her, “a call to action to stand in solidarity with women and girls around the world by deploying funds and supporting the global response against domestic violence during the time of COVID-19.” The second console is themed after the more modern Wonder Woman uniform featuring her Lasso of Truth, and can be won by fans simply by liking or retweeting the Xbox sweepstakes post on Twitter. Finally, the third console is modeled after Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah, the main villain of the upcoming film. Unfortunately, there’s no way to win the leopard and snake print-clad console.
Wonder Woman 1984 premiers October 2.
Elsewhere in gaming, Philadelphia 76ers player Ben Simmons has joined FaZe Clan.
