Xbox has officially introduced the Xbox Series X-BITE, an unconventional custom console housed inside an anatomically detailed, five-foot alligator replica. Developed in collaboration with creature animatronics specialists John Nolan Studio, the fully playable hardware creation takes cues from the wildlife and lore of Florida ahead of a dedicated promotional sweepstakes.
Spanning over five feet from snout to tail, the sculpture integrates operational Xbox Series X internals directly into the reptile’s torso, framed by an illuminated Xbox Nexus logo along its spine. Resting firmly within the predator’s jaws is a custom Xbox Wireless Controller sculpted with deep tooth impressions and textured bite marks. John Nolan Studio—renowned for practical creature effects across Jurassic World Dominion, The Witcher, and HBO’s forthcoming Harry Potter series—utilized advanced 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication to craft realistic scales, ridges, and signature Xbox-green irises featuring logo-contoured pupils.
While the underlying hardware is fully functional and capable of running current titles, Xbox notes that the bespoke piece is primarily envisioned as an exhibition centerpiece, confirming no real animals were involved or harmed in the build. The single-unit production arrives as an ultra-rare collector’s item distributed via an interactive social giveaway.
