LeBron James and Nike‘s LeBron 17 has brought several of its most memorable styles together for a “What The” treatment. Of course, the King’s signature Nike Basketball line is no stranger to “What The” makeups — they first appeared on a LeBron 9 sample in 2012 — but this LeBron 17 goes the extra mile with small, well-thought-out details.

The left shoe keeps things dark by blending grey tones from the “Currency” and “I Promise” colorways. Its scarlet tongue repurposes UNINTERRUPTED‘s “More Than An Athlete” graphic. Right shoes pull from the “Mr. Swackhammer,” and add in a multi-color knit from the “James Gang” as well. Laces are dressed in a Los Angeles Lakers-esque gold, and are adorned with purple motivational phrases. A “Remove Before Launch” hangtag nods on the left shoe to the LeBron 17’s inaugural colorway.

Moving down to the midsoles, the left shoe combines purple, red and black with the right using a gum-style tone. Finishing touches are provided by ten interchangable patches that range from a “Command Force” graphic to an Air Max Plus-inspired logo.

This wild LeBron 17 will release at Nike SNKRS Korea come July 30, and is priced at $200 USD. A US release will likely follow in August.
