Nike & LeBron James Ready the LeBron 17 "I Promise"
Inspired by the Akron school.
After seeing an “Infrared” iteration, LeBron James‘ signature Nike LeBron 17 silhouette will soon release in an “I Promise” colorway, inspired by the I Promise School located in Akron, Ohio.
The vibrant model features a kaleidoscopic upper and outsole, dressed in various hues of yellow, blue, purple, red and so on. Spotlighted on the tongue tab is an embroidered LeBron James Family Foundation crown in royal green and gold, while aspirational phrases, such as “I promise I will dream big,” appear on the laces.
Interested fans will be able to purchase the limited edition Nike LeBron 17 “I Promise” on January 21 via Nike’s SNKRS app and House of Hoops by Foot Locker for a retail price of $200 USD.
With each purchase of the Nike LeBron 17 “I Promise,” Nike will donate a portion of sales to the LeBron James Family Foundation. Supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation, the I Promise School opened in 2018 with a commitment to improve education for at-risk children and disadvantage youth located in James’ hometown.
