Rising Nigerian singer-songwriter Fireboy DML has released his latest single “ELI” featuring production by Pheelz. The offering follows the Afrobeat star’s “New York City Girl” hit from last month which quickly took off as one of Summer 2020’s undeniable hits. His upcoming sophomore album Apollo is slated to release next month through YBNL/EMPIRE Records.

Fireboy DML first burst onto the scene with last year’s inventive and energetic Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps. It was a mainstay on the Nigerian charts and received critical-acclaim throughout the globe for its emotionality and promise. On “ELI” he continues to experiment with his flow and cadence, approaching the Asian-inspired flute sample and electric guitar backing with melodies telling the story of being hypnotized by new love.

Stream the new track below and stay tuned for the “ELI” music video to premiere this Friday, July 31. In more music news, Run The Jewels released their new visual for “JU$T” featuring Pharrell and Rage Against The Machine’s Zack de la Rocha.
