Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Adds to the "Planet of Hoops" Pack
With a “Nerf”-esque colorway.

Nike‘s “Planet of Hoops” galaxy has gained a new member thanks to the Adapt BB 2.0. Likely a finale to the expansive Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear pack that started its rollout in April, this new Adapt BB 2.0 offers a navy, crimson and volt green color scheme reminiscent of Kevin Durant‘s classic KD 4 “Nerf.”
A rich navy blue is front and center on the upper, accented by a textured crimson Swoosh that swoops across the top of the foot. More crimson is present on the collar’s lining and the small outlined Swoosh on the medial side. Volt green gets in on the mix as well, appearing on tongue tabs and the heel badge — the latter of which adds a hand-scrawled “Planet of Hoops” graphic. Rounding things off up top are metallic silver tongues, toebox details and a sculpted heel piece with a clear to blue gradient fade.
Down below, midsoles house the Adapt BB 2.0’s signature power lacing system, which tightens or loosens the Swoosh-equipped forefoot sheath on the upper and can be controlled from an app on the wearer’s iPhone or Android device. Its placement is denunciated by red-rimmed clear buttons, which can be used to manually tighten or loosen the fit and also light up in customizable colors. The rest of the midsole is dressed in navy with neon green speckles, and a semi-translucent neon green outsole with a patch of solid orange rubber where its forefoot Zoom Turbo unit is stored complete the look.
The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “Planet of Hoops” is available now at the Nike China webstore, and retails for $400 USD.
