Reebok Instapump Fury OG Releases in Sweltering "Scarlet/Toxic Yellow"
A high-temperature colorway for the regarded Reebok runner.
After recently releasing as part of Reebok’s “Pride Pack,” the Instapump Fury OG is back once again — pumping up its temperature with a sweltering “Scarlet/Toxic Yellow” colorway. The high heat style aptly plays into designer Steven Smith‘s stripped-back ethos, letting each piece of the construction talk to craft a compelling conversation around this summertime style.
Cut-away uppers are built from a tightly-woven scarlet mesh. Rich “Toxic Yellow” appears on toe caps, heels, throats and tongue/heel tabs. The Pump fit system’s inflation mechanism is done up in a dark, cool black to ensure the rest of the shoe doesn’t burn up, and another dash of black appears towards the toebox. Vector logos are embroidered on throat and heel alike, with white text gracing the tongue’s signature Pump button.
Down below, midsoles are split into two pieces, connected by a patterned carbon fiber plate. The front is built entirely of white EVA foam, and the heel is split between white and red, housing Reebok‘s honeycomb-patterned DMX cushioning. Black outsoles with a small touch of red towards the toe finalize the look.
The Reebok Instapump Fury “Scarlet/Toxic Yellow” is available now via retailers like atmos, and is priced at ¥18,000 JPY (approximately $167 USD).
Moving from classic running to heritage hoops, Shawn Kemp‘s Reebok Kamikaze II has hit retailers in a “USA” colorway.
